Great Concept & Colorful Historic Maps

Great concept--to tell the history of the world with historic maps. Maps range in date from 1500 BC to 2014 and cover places from Babylon and Egypt to the United States and the Moon. The high resolution reproduction of the maps is impressive, and I could actually read the Gettysburg battle map and follow the battle sequence. The history behind the first map of the United States, published in 1784, was fun to read, especially the part about Benjamin Franklin.

Good except for paper cover damage.

Good condition except for the paper cover which is torn in places. I'm just out of hospital but plan to repair the cover with book-mending tape. It's a great book!
